The Pokémon Horizons anime (officially known as “Anipoke,” airing every Friday at 6:55 PM on TV Tokyo) will broadcast a three-week special titled Episode: Mega Evolution starting October 10. The three-episode arc has revealed its broadcast dates, subtitles, new visuals, and a promotional video (PV).

The key visual shows Roy and Uruto side by side in Lumiose City, wearing Mega Rings with the iconic Prism Tower behind them. A yellow-eyed Mega Lucario glares intensely in the background, while Emma, a resident of Lumiose City, also appears. The scene hints at how Roy and Uruto will encounter these characters, while also teasing a mysterious armored man, adding layers of intrigue.

The newly released PV offers a first look at Roy and Uruto’s meeting, their battle with the yellow Lucario, and Emma alongside her Espurr companion, Mini. The special depicts the story of how Roy and Uruto learn about Mega Evolution, making it an unmissable feature for both anime and game fans.

The theme song, titled “Yuu” (尤), will be performed by Yuzu, marking their return after previously providing the opening theme “GET BACK” for the Mega Voltage arc. A preview of the new song can already be heard in the latest PV.

We’re thrilled to once again be in charge of the theme song for Pokémon Episode: Mega Evolution. The song reflects Roy and Uruto’s encounter, the deepening of their bond, and their battles with the yellow Lucario. We worked with TeddyLoid again, combining traditional Japanese koto sounds with modern digital elements for a fresh fusion. This track also ties into our upcoming Asia tour this December, our first in six years as Yuzu. Just like fans, we’re excited to see what new encounters, battles, and revelations await in Anipoke!
