The TV anime SAKAMOTO DAYS will enter a new chapter, the “JCC Transfer Test Arc,” starting with Episode 17, Have a nice flight, airing on August 18. It has been revealed that “X (Slur),” who drove the Japan Assassins Club (JCC) Kanto Branch to the brink of collapse before temporarily retreating, is actually Kei Uzuki, a classmate of Taro Sakamoto from his JCC days. Seeking clues, Sakamoto and Shin Asakura board a plane to take the JCC transfer test. The blend of daily life and high-octane assassin action will only accelerate from here.

A new visual for the JCC Transfer Exams Arc has been unveiled, featuring Sakamoto, Shin, and fellow examinees Mafuyu Seba, Akira Akao, Nao Toramaru, Joichiro Kaji, and Shinaya, as well as ORDER member and filmmaker Kanaguri soaring through the skies. The artwork bursts with the humor and speed characteristic of SAKAMOTO DAYS. In addition, a special preview video has been released, showing anime footage of Toramaru, Kaji, and Shinaya, who will appear as additional examinees.

The new cast members announced are Hisako Kanemoto as Nao Toramaru, Tomoaki Maeno as Joichiro Kaji, and Tatsumaru Tachibana as Shinaya. Kanemoto commented, “I love this series, so I was happy to join the cast. Toramaru’s strong devotion to her idol and her rapidly shifting emotions meant I had to give my all to keep up.” Maeno said, “At first I thought he was cool and composed, but he’s actually extremely shy—a trait I can deeply relate to.” Tachibana added with humor, “I looked forward to each recording session. Talking about him would be a spoiler, but let’s just say that before I knew it, it was all over.”

SAKAMOTO DAYS airs every Monday at 24:00 on the TV Tokyo network and other channels since July 14, and is available on Netflix and other streaming platforms. More updates and the latest footage from the JCC Transfer Test Arc will be released on the official website and social media.
