Anyway, I'm Falling in Love with You Season 2 to Air in 2026: Visual Reveals Kizuki, Shin, Airu, and Shuugo
The second season of the TV anime Anyway, I'm Falling in Love with You has been officially announced and is set to air in 2026 on TBS and BS11. A new visual has been released, featuring Kizuki, Shin, Airu, and Shuugo sitting poolside and gazing forward. Junichi Yamamoto will return as director, continuing his work from the first season.

In the newly released Season 2 key visual, Kizuki Hazawa, Shin Kashiwagi, Airu Izumi, and Shuugo Hoshikawa are shown sitting side-by-side at the edge of a pool, staring intently at someone ahead of them. While the teaser visual for Season 1 depicted the characters lying by the water, this new image hints that the poolside will become a significant setting for the characters—including Mizuho—as memories unfold.
Additionally, new character visuals reveal how Mizuho Nishino, Kizuki, Shin, Airu, and Shuugo appear as adults, offering a glimpse into their lives ten years later.
Returning director Junichi Yamamoto shared his thoughts:
“Congratulations on the Season 2 announcement for Koishima! This season will take us all the way to the end of the story. I’ve had many deep discussions with manga creator Haruka Mitsui and series composer Murai-san, and our script team has crafted an excellent narrative. The voice actors are delivering truly passionate performances. Please look forward to it—it’ll be 2026 before we know it!”
The anime is based on the manga by Haruka Mitsui, currently serialized in Nakayoshi (Kodansha). Season 1 aired from January to March this year.
Anyway, I'm Falling in Love with You is a youth romance drama centered around Mizuho Nishino and four childhood friends who grew up together like family. On July 1, 2020, Mizuho, now a second-year high school student, finds herself having the worst 17th birthday imaginable. She misses her chance to get closer to her crush, her parents forget her birthday, and on top of that, the spread of an unknown infectious disease cancels both her school trip and club tournaments. “I guess I’ll never have a sparkling youth,” she thinks.
But just then, her childhood friend Kizuki unexpectedly declares himself a “boyfriend candidate.” His sudden confession sets off a chain reaction: Shin soon confesses his feelings too, leaving Mizuho bewildered. Meanwhile, Airu and Shuugo also begin to move forward with their own feelings, shifting the dynamics of the five friends and throwing their once-stable bonds into disarray.
