Kaiju No. 8 Takes Over Tokyo’s Ring Road in Explosive Ad Campaign titled “Kaiju Kuru” (The Kaiju Is Coming) Ahead of Season 2 Premiere

To celebrate the completion of the original manga and the launch of the anime’s second season on July 19 (JST), KAIJU No. 8 THE GAME, set for release this summer, has kicked off a bold advertising campaign titled “怪獣来ル, Kaiju Kuru” (The Kaiju Is Coming), taking over Tokyo’s Ring Road No. 8.

The campaign features both physical and digital elements. Along the Ring Road, advertisements depict damage as if caused by a kaiju attack. Notably, the Wada Building (1-40-9 Chitosedai, Setagaya-ku) near Chitose-Funabashi Station and Takashima Ice Room (1-39-12 Chitosedai, Setagaya-ku) showcase visuals that create the illusion of a real kaiju emerging in Tokyo. Utility poles in the area are also adorned with teaser posters bearing the “Kaiju Kuru” message. These displays will remain in place until August 10.

Furthermore, eight train stations along the Ring Road—Takaido, Iogi, Ogikubo, Haneda Airport Terminal 3, Chitose-Funabashi, Hachimanyama, Keikyu Kamata, and Den-en-Chofu—feature visuals announcing the arrival of eight kaiju, each accompanied by the “Kaiju Kuru” message. These are scheduled to be displayed through July 20.
