Girls Band Cry Theatrical Compilation Part 1 Trailer Unveiled: TOGENASHI TOGEARI Faces Turbulent Beginnings

The full trailer and new key visual for Girls Band Cry Theatrical Compilation Part 1 have been officially released. The first part, titled 青春狂騒曲 (Seishun Kyosokyoku, Youth Runaway Melody), will premiere on October 3, followed by Part 2, なあ、未来。(Na, Mirai. , Hey, Future.), on November 14.

The newly unveiled key visual features the five members of the band TOGENASHI TOGEARI, each portrayed individually. Their values and emotional baggage differ, and yet the image captures the subtle shifts in their relationships—a fleeting moment of instability before they become one. It is a snapshot that quietly yet vividly reflects their current state.

In the trailer, we witness the five members—Nina, Momoka, Subaru, Tomo, and Rupa—meeting each other, clashing repeatedly, and still moving forward through music. Despite their contrasting perspectives and pasts, they gradually begin to take shape as a band. Their journey is far from smooth—but precisely because of that, it resonates deeply.

Girls Band Cry is an original anime series produced by Toei Animation, which aired from April to June 2024. The story follows Nina Iseri, a girl who drops out of high school after a life setback. In Tokyo, she meets Momoka Kawaragi, Subaru Awa, Tomo Ebizuka, and Rupa, and together they form the band TOGENASHI TOGEARI. Through music, they confront their individual pasts and begin forging their paths toward the future.
