Episode 19 of You and Idol Pretty Cure (Kimi to Idol Prett Cure, キミとアイドルプリキュア♪), the 22nd installment in the Pretty Cure anime series, has released its story preview and early scene stills. Episode 20 will air on Sunday, June 22, at 8:30 AM on Japanese TV, followed by international streaming on various platforms.

Episode 20 Story

Uta Sakura (voiced by Misato Matsuoka) is devastated to find that Purirun (voiced by Yoshino Nanjo) no longer remembers her. Just then, Tanaka returns from her trip to Kirakiland.

Tanaka shares what she learned from Queen Pikariine: Purirun and Meroron (voiced by Miharu Hanai) used the legendary Heart Kirari Rock to make a wish. However, in doing so, they each had to seal away what was most important to them. In Purirun’s case, it was her precious memories with Uta.

Uta and her friends go to Tanaka’s house, where Purirun and Meroron had been staying. Although Purirun doesn’t remember Uta or the others, she does recall Tanaka in her original Tanakaan form. The group realizes that all of Purirun’s memories since meeting Uta have been erased.

Determined to help Purirun recover those lost memories, Uta suggests going on a picnic together.

About You and Idol Pretty Cure

The theme of You and Idol Pretty Cure revolves around idols. With the belief that "Because you're here, I can shine and become stronger!", the Pretty Cure idols sing, dance, and engage with fans, using their performances to restore Kirakira to those who have lost it.

The story follows Uta Sakura, a second-year middle school student who loves to sing. One day, she meets Purirun, a fairy searching for the Idol Pretty Cure, the legendary savior of Kirakiland. Kirakiland has been plunged into darkness by Darkine, the leader of the Chokkiri Gang.

As the Chokkiri Gang begins stealing the Kirakira from townspeople, a desperate Uta declares, "I want to bring back the Kirakkiranran feeling! With my song!" Her determination resonates, and she transforms into the legendary Cure Idol.
