The TV anime The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 4 is officially set to premiere on July 9. Along with this announcement, the latest key visual and the second promotional video (PV) were unveiled on June 15 at the event “Shield Festival: The Rising of the Shield Hero – The LIVE of the Shield Hero,” held at Sakura Hall in the Owada Cultural Center, Shibuya, Tokyo.

(Please note that some character names are provisional, as their official English names have not yet been confirmed)

The new key visual features a turbulent sea and a swirling vortex, hinting at the intense journey that awaits Naofumi and his party in Season 4. At the forefront stand the Hakuko siblings, Fohl and Atla, ready for battle. Within the tornado are glimpses of new characters debuting this season — including Varnal, Jaralis, and a mysterious woman.

The second PV follows the stylistic direction of the first, evoking the animation production process. It showcases powerful action scenes of Fohl and Atla engaging in fierce battles in Siltvelt. The PV also includes a preview of the ending theme, “Towa ni Ikkai no” (Once in Eternity), performed by Chiai Fujikawa.

Ahead of the anime's airing in Japan, a Blu-ray & DVD release has been confirmed. The series will be distributed across three volumes. First edition bonuses include a booklet featuring an original short novel written by series creator Aneko Yusagi, and a reversible jacket illustrated by original character designer Seira Minami and the anime team. Each volume also includes video extras and trailers as recurring bonuses.

In addition, six retailers will offer exclusive store-specific bonuses. Early reservation campaigns and signed script giveaways are also planned. Volume 1 is scheduled for release on October 29.
