Voice Actor Kenichi Suzumura Takes a Break Due to Health Issues: Known for Roles in "Demon Slayer" and "Gundam SEED"

On May 16, it was announced on the official website of Intention, the talent agency headed by voice actor Kenichi Suzumura, that he will be taking a break due to health issues.

The official statement, titled "Notice Regarding Kenichi Suzumura," reads, "Thank you for your continued warm support for Kenichi Suzumura. Our talent, Kenichi Suzumura, will be focusing on rest due to health issues."

Regarding the reason for the hiatus, the statement explains, "Due to ongoing health issues, it has been determined necessary for him to take a rest based on medical advice. Moving forward, we will prioritize his recovery and will inform you of his return to activities at a later date."

The agency also expressed apologies, saying, "We sincerely apologize for the significant inconvenience and concern caused to all supporters and related parties."

Suzumura is a popular voice actor known for roles such as Shinn Asuka in "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny," Sougo Okita in "Gintama," Atsushi Murasakibara in "Kuroko's Basketball," Daisuke Shima in "Space Battleship Yamato 2199," and Yang Wen-li in "The Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These." He is also an active artist and currently voices Obanai Iguro in the ongoing "Demon Slayer: Hashira Training Arc." Additionally, he hosts several radio shows.

Suzumura also serves as the representative of the voice actor agency Intention, which includes talents such as Yuichi Nakamura, Nao Toyama, and Yuma Uchida.
