“Goodbye, Himawari”
Yuu Natsume finds himself unable to stop thinking about the kiss he shared with Himari Inuzuka in the sunflower field. Troubled by her sudden actions, he confides his confusion to the flowers. Meanwhile, Himari is overwhelmed with regret, unsure of why she acted so impulsively. When the two find themselves alone in the science lab, Yuu breaks the silence by telling her, “I’m not pretending yesterday didn’t happen…”

In a quiet countryside middle school, a boy and a girl vow to be friends forever. Sharing a dream, they become inseparable—“shin’yuu,” or soulmates in purpose.

Without any romantic developments, two years pass. Himari Inuzuka, a cheerful and outgoing girl who's never experienced first love, and Yu Natsume, a plant-loving boy who makes flower accessories, remain close friends in their private high school gardening club.
