SPY×FAMILY Creator Celebrates Japan’s Historic Table Tennis Gold with Anya Illustration—Fans Delighted by Playful Details

The team of Shunsuke Togami and Daiki Shinozuka secured the gold medal, marking Japan’s first victory in the event since 1961—a feat achieved for the first time in 64 years, and widely praised across the country.

To commemorate the occasion, Endo shared a charming illustration of Anya Forger, one of the main characters of SPY×FAMILY, holding a table tennis racket and a ball attached to it in a humorous, adorable way.

Fans quickly flooded social media with reactions such as:

“Maybe they won gold because Anya was cheering for them!”
“She’s really got the match ball stuck to the paddle—so cute!”
“As expected from Endo-sensei, a former player himself. And since Kumiten was involved too, the joy must be double!”

Notably, SPY×FAMILY has a history with table tennis, having collaborated with World Table Tennis 2022, adding extra significance to the celebration.
