Ryota Osaka on Crafting the Role of Tasuku Tsubakino
The special kicked off with the premiere of the “Roppo Ichiza Arc” PV, which revealed new characters: Kazuyuki Okitsu as Kanji Nakamura, the powerful leader of the martial arts group Roppo Ichiza, and Reina Ueda as Shizuka Narita, a girl rescued by Sakura and his group while being pursued.
The cast expressed high expectations, with reactions like “They’re strong!” and “Absolutely powerful!” filling the studio. Okitsu’s surprise studio appearance added to the excitement.
In addition to a look back at the KEEL Arc, a digest video focusing on Tsubakino—a key character in the Roppo Ichiza Arc—was also shown. Ryota Osaka revealed that the direction from the start was clear: “Even though he speaks like a woman, he’s still a man—don’t make him sound like a drag queen.” Osaka shared, “If you use a typical feminine tone, the voice pitch naturally rises, which removes that masculine edge. I made sure to lower the tone at the end of my lines. Tsubakino is a boy who simply likes cute things.”

He also talked about voicing Tsubakino’s first line—"Finally, we meet"—and the comedic moment when Sakura mistakes him for a woman and reacts with “That voice is deep!” Osaka said he struggled to find the right balance: “It’s not ‘low-pitched,’ it’s ‘deep.’ Sakura half-thought Tsubakino was a woman, so I aimed for a deeper tone than usual to mislead him.”
Chiba commented, “Tsubakino’s expressions are so vivid, it’s hard to imagine how he would sound. But Osaka’s straightforward performance nailed it. I can’t hear it any other way now.”
Kazuyuki Okitsu Describes Kanji Nakamura as “Incredibly Energetic!”
The cast also talked about what to expect in the Roppo Ichiza Arc. When asked about Kanji Nakamura, Okitsu responded immediately with “Energetic—super energetic!” causing a round of laughter in the studio. When the topic turned to his relationship with Shizuka, whom he cares deeply about, he blushed and exclaimed, “Don’t go there!” again prompting more laughs.
The cast also teased Shizuka’s role as a singer performing alongside Tsubakino at the “Show Pub OUGI.” While they didn’t confirm if the anime would include singing scenes like in the manga, they raised expectations with hints like “Please look forward to it!” and “The storyboard was unbelievably detailed!”

Strong Bonds and Comedic Chemistry
The program concluded with a light-hearted segment titled “Strengthen the Bond! Unified Answer Challenge,” in which the four voice actors attempted to match answers to a set of prompts. Though initially fired up with lines like “Let’s show them what we’ve got!”, the segment quickly devolved into a hilarious series of outtakes and jokes. Will these four be able to unite for battle in the Roppo Ichiza Arc?
In closing messages to fans, Okitsu added humor: “Though we’ve been messing around here, we’re seriously giving it our all in the Roppo Ichiza Arc, so please look forward to it!” Uchida reflected on the production process, sharing that “With each new character introduction, the energy in the recording studio rose. This season depicts deeply personal stories and emotions within each character, and we hope you’ll pay close attention to their inner thoughts and feelings.”
