YAIBA: Samurai Legend Episode 6 Story and Preview Cuts Revealed: Musashi’s Body Begins to Change After Being Bitten!
Episode 6 story and advance scene cuts have been released for the brand-new TV anime YAIBA: Samurai Legend, based on Gosho Aoyama’s manga YAIBA. The episode is scheduled to air on May 10 at 5:30 PM JST on the Yomiuri TV and Nippon TV network. This marks the first remake of the series in 31 years since the final episode aired in 1994.

Episode 6 Story
“Sudden Batguy”
With Namako-Otoko joining their group, Yaiba Kurogane and his companions continue their journey toward Ganryujima. Along the way, they stop in Nagoya and leisurely enjoy some miso kushi-katsu. Suddenly, a mysterious voice is heard—and Sayaka Mine’s skewer goes missing. The culprit is a man who suddenly appears and introduces himself as Batguy. He targets Yaiba, aiming to take the Raijin Sword. Yaiba struggles to keep up against Batguy’s overwhelming strength. Just as the battle turns grim, Musashi Miyamoto jumps in to help—but Batguy bites him on the neck. That’s when Musashi’s body begins to undergo a mysterious transformation.

About YAIBA
Created by Detective Conan author Gosho Aoyama, YAIBA tells the story of Yaiba Kurogane, a wild samurai boy raised in the jungle, who returns to Japan by chance. Determined to hone his samurai spirit, Yaiba embarks on a journey filled with action and adventure. The story follows his rivalry with Takeshi Onimaru, who wields the legendary demon sword, leading to a spectacular quest.
Serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday (Shogakukan) from 1988 to 1993, YAIBA became a hit, with over 17 million copies sold. A TV anime adaptation aired from 1993 to 1994. The upcoming Yaiba: Samurai Legend marks the first new anime in 30 years, with Gosho Aoyama personally supervising the script.
