In episode 7 of Number One Squadron Gozyuger (airs Sundays at 9:30 AM on TV Asahi), the episode closed with a shocking twist: veteran ranger Meguru Orai (Tyranno Ranger) was shot by the mysterious warrior Garyudo after explaining the essence of what it means to be a Super Sentai to the Gozyugers.

As the series continues to grip viewers with its weekly surprises, the long-awaited character Kuon—played by Karuma—will finally appear in episode 8 airing on the 13th. Originally teased at the time of the character reveal as “a young CEO of an AI company who holds a key to the story… possibly tied to Hoeru?” Kuon is now revealed to be Hoeru Tono’s older brother.

Kuon makes his return as the president of a major AI conglomerate called “Kuon AI Concern,” where he reunites with Hoeru. Starting from episode 8, the storyline of Gozyuger takes a major turn.

Packed with fresh developments, episode 8 will also move forward the story of the antagonistic organization Buraidan. The enigmatic queen of Buraidan—who had been lurking ominously in their hideout in the opening sequence—finally springs into action. Her name is Queen Tegajune. She is voiced by Yukana, known for voicing Cure White in Futari wa Precure. Tegajune, who bears the title “Tega” and reigns over the No One World, raises questions: what kind of queen is she really?

Joining her is the mysterious warrior Garyudo, dubbed the “Ring Hunter,” described as Tegajune’s trump card. A new warrior dispatched by Buraidan to collect rings, Garyudo wields a weapon similar in design to Tegajune’s and battles using hunted Sentai Rings. However, the identity of who will become “engaged” with those rings remains unknown for now.

Episode 8, filled with layers of mystery involving the long-lost brother, the shadowy warrior, and the enigmatic queen, will air on the 13th.

“It’s finally happening!” That’s how I feel. I found out about the announcement at the same time as everyone else, but who would’ve guessed that after appearing in that huge production unveiling event, I’d vanish for two or three months? (laughs) That kind of delay is rare even in other shows, so thank you for being so patient.
Kuon is Hoeru’s older brother, and he deeply cares for him. As more about Hoeru’s dark past is revealed, it turns out that when he was drawn into the No One World, his brother was dragged in as well—and they were separated. That brother… was me.

Episode 8 will reveal even more, so I hope you’ll look forward to it. Kuon enters the stage just as the five Gozyugers are finally united and the story truly kicks off. Is he a good guy, a bad guy, or something else entirely? He’s going to stir things up in a big way, so please stay tuned!
