Capcom has officially announced the first free title update for the highly anticipated game Monster Hunter Wilds, set to launch on April 4. The update introduces exciting new content, including the return of the beloved bubble-blowing monster Mizutsune, and the addition of the all-new Grand Hub where hunters can interact more freely.

Mizutsune Returns in Majestic Style

The fan-favorite Leviathan-class monster Mizutsune—also known as the “Bubble Fox Wyvern”—returns with its elegant, dance-like movements and masterful use of bubbles. Players can gear up to face not only the standard version, but also a special tempered ★8 version in this update. Prepare for dazzling combat and immersive ecological behavior that highlights Mizutsune’s distinct personality.

Face the Fierce Arch-Tempered Rey Dau

Starting April 30, hunters with HR 50 and above can challenge the formidable Arch-Tempered Rey Dau through a limited-time event quest. As one of the most powerful variants, this monster presents a true test of skill. Defeating it will allow players to craft two new armor sets: the Rey Dau γ (Gamma) series and the Felyne Rey Dau γ series.

Replayable Zoh Shia Quest Now Available

The once one-time-only Zoh Shia quest becomes repeatable. Unlocking this quest requires completing specific missions at HR 50 or higher. Upon activation, the environment "Remnants of the Dragon Capital" will occasionally transform into the rare "Dragon's Awakening" zone. Players can choose to begin the quest immediately as a field research mission or save it as an investigation for later. Zoh Shia materials can be used to craft new hunter and Palico equipment, including gear with deployable wings shown in recent showcases.

Welcome to the Grand Hub

The new Grand Hub is a lively space where hunters can interact, dine together, and engage in mini-games. One such activity includes rolling Barrel Bombs toward targets to earn helpful items and charms using Taru-Koro Challenge Tickets (available through login bonuses). Players can enjoy shared meals served by Felynes and even participate in arm wrestling to connect with others. At night, players may hear a special song offered by the “Songstress,” rooted in ancient Suja tribal tradition.

Seasonal Festival: “Floral Rite of Unity” Begins April 23

Running from April 23 to May 7, the Floral Rite of Unity festival will bring seasonal flair to the Gathering Hub, featuring vibrant decorations, exclusive gestures, layered armor, and camp décor. In addition to themed event quests, most previous events will return during the festival window.
