Blue Lock Unleashes Cherry Blossom-Themed Ad Takeover Across Japan from Fukuoka to Sapporo

The editorial team behind Weekly Shonen Magazine has launched an unprecedented ad campaign for the hit manga Blue Lock, syncing its visuals with the blooming of cherry blossoms across Japan. The campaign begins on March 25 in Fukuoka, traveling northward in alignment with the sakura front, and features Blue Lock characters sharing bold “Egoistic New Life Tips” to inspire fresh starts.

The campaign visuals—each one tailored by region and audience (students or working professionals)—will be unveiled sequentially on the official Weekly Shonen Magazine website. Each location features different characters and quotes, encouraging viewers to embrace ambition and individuality during Japan’s season of new beginnings.

A First-of-Its-Kind Seasonal Campaign

A representative from the campaign team shared lighthearted concerns:

“I can’t sleep at night worrying about the timing of the cherry blossoms… We discovered that Fukuoka and Hiroshima are nearly the same latitude, meaning their bloom periods align—something we didn’t expect!”

This innovative campaign represents a rare case of nationwide advertising aligned with natural phenomena, reinforcing the brand’s core themes of transformation, ego, and competitive growth.

About Blue Lock
