Ultraman Gaia’s XIG Fighters Join Ultraride Chronicle Series with Transformation Sound by Takayama Gamu (Takeshi Yoshioka)

Premium Bandai, the official online store of Bandai Namco Group, has announced that pre-orders will begin on March 24 at 4:00 PM JST for two new high-end items from Ultraman Gaia:

Ultraride Chronicle XIG Fighter EX & SG Set

Ultraride Chronicle XIG Fighter SS & SG Set
Each set will retail for 11,000 yen (excluding shipping and handling).

These fighters, originally featured in the 1998–1999 series Ultraman Gaia, are being revived as part of the Ultraride Chronicle series—a premium Ultra Mecha line that recreates legendary machines with newly added gimmicks. This marks the third entry in the Ultraride Chronicle series.

Completely Remodeled with Larger Size and Enhanced Silhouettes

Unlike the toys released during the original broadcast, these models have been fully re-sculpted from scratch. With over 140% increase in size, the updated designs bring improved detailing to the nose cones, wing parts, and the overall fighting mode silhouette.

Both the EX and SS models include a third unit—SG—and all three are capable of transforming into container mode, just like in the series.

Light-Up Cockpits and Iconic Sound Effects Included

All units feature light-up cockpit mechanisms, while the EX unit includes sound effects, such as:

Launch sound effects

Transformation sounds (from container mode to fighting mode)

And most notably, the transformation call of Takayama Gamu, performed by Takeshi Yoshioka, as well as the transformation sound into Ultraman Gaia himself.

This voice integration brings an immersive, nostalgic experience to fans of the classic series.
