Sakanaction Achieves First-Ever Digital Single No.1 with Kaijuu, the Theme Song for Orb: On the Movements of the Earth
Sakanaction's new song "Kaijuu" has debuted at No.1 on the latest Oricon Weekly Digital Single (Track) Ranking with 28,497 downloads in its first week. This marks Sakanaction’s first-ever No.1 digital single.

The song also set a personal record for the band's highest first-week digital sales, surpassing their 2019 hit "Wasurerarenaino", which recorded 22,034 downloads in its debut week.

"Kaijuu" serves as the opening theme for the anime Orb: On the Movements of the Earth, which premiered in October 2024 on NHK General TV. This is the first time Sakanaction has provided a theme song for an anime. Additionally, the collaborative music video featuring the anime has gained significant attention during its limited-time release.
