"Jujutsu Kaisen" Launches New Project Featuring Newly Unveiled Visuals from "Hidden Inventory" and "Premature Death": Satoru Gojo and Others Spend Time After School
As part of a new campaign for the anime "Jujutsu Kaisen," new visuals have been released depicting characters from the "Hidden Inventory" and "Premature Death" arcs during their time at the Technical College. The illustrations feature Satoru Gojo, Suguru Geto, Shoko Ieiri, Kento Nanami, and Yu Haibara relaxing in a laid-back atmosphere after school.
Merchandise featuring these visuals will be available for pre-order starting May 16 at the TOHO animation STORE, with sales rolling out in various shops from mid-July.
Furthermore, in line with the progression of the story, new visuals will be released sequentially. Following the first installment that revisits past episodes, "Hidden Inventory" and "Premature Death," merchandise featuring illustrations from the prequel "Jujutsu Kaisen 0" movie will be released starting mid-August, and from late October, products featuring newly drawn illustrations from the "Shibuya Incident" arc, which continues from the first season, will sequentially appear as part of a major project. "Jujutsu Kaisen" is based on the manga of the same name, which began serialization in "Weekly Shonen Jump" in March 2018. The dark fantasy follows high school student Yuji Itadori as he enters the world of cursed battles after a powerful "Cursed Object" is unsealed. The comics have surpassed 90 million copies in circulation. The TV anime aired from October 2020 to March 2021, gaining popularity, followed by a theatrical anime released in December 2021, and the second season of the TV anime airing from July to December 2023. A sequel, "The Culling Game," has been announced.
