To celebrate Pokémon Day 2025, The Pokémon Company has teamed up with CoMix Wave Films, the renowned studio behind Your Name, Weathering With You, and Suzume, to produce a brand-new anime, "Dragonite and the Mail Courier".

The special animation will be released on February 27 at 12:00 AM (JST) via the official Pokémon YouTube channel.

Story Overview – A Heartwarming Pokémon Adventure

The story follows Hana, a young girl from the Paldea region, who dreams of becoming an Ace Courier, just like the Dragonite postal carriers she admires. One day, she discovers a letter without an address and embarks on a journey with her partner Fuecoco to find the sender.

Later, I saw Episode 10 of the 2019 Pokémon anime, which helped me understand what makes Dragonite so special. By the time I recorded the song, I simply thought, ‘Dragonite is adorable!’ Pokémon are truly precious creatures."
