Tsuburaya Productions has announced that ahead of the premiere of their new TV series "Ultraman Arc," which will start airing on TV Tokyo and its affiliates on July 6th at 9 AM, they will be releasing new information every Friday at 5 PM. The latest update introduces a new character, "Yupi," a support robot from the Monster Disaster Science Research Institute "SKIP," where the protagonist Yuma Hisayoshi, who transforms into Ultraman Arc, works.

Officially named "Yupi the Robot," Yupi is an autonomous AI-equipped support robot operating at SKIP's Hoshimoto City branch, assisting researchers with various tasks. Yupi's notable features include cameras in its eyes and chest, a loudspeaker in the center of its chest, lights on its shoulders, and multifunctional nozzles on its strong arms. Yupi can also split into two parts: its head, "Yu," can detach and act as a drone to respond quickly by air, land, or sea, while its torso, "Pi," handles various tasks on the ground to support the SKIP team. Yupi is two meters tall and weighs 220 kilograms.

Yuya Hirose will be the voice behind Yupi. Overjoyed, Hirose commented, "I am thrilled to play the AI-equipped support robot 'Yupi'! I've wanted to talk about this for so long, and finally, I can! (laughs) It's another dream come true!" He continued, "I'm having a great time voicing every episode, trying to convey Yupi's adorable and cool aspects. I think you'll see many sides of Yupi, so please look forward to it! I'm embracing the spirit of SKIP to help elevate this show. There's so much I want to say, but for now, just enjoy the broadcast!"
