The original "Trapezium" is a coming-of-age novel about Yu Azuma, a high school student aspiring to be an idol, who collects beautiful girls from all over the country to pursue her dream. Serialized starting in 2016 in the magazine "Da Vinci" and published as a book in 2018 by Kazumi Takayama (former Nogizaka46), the novel captures the experiences and conflicts of Takayama's time in a top idol group. It has been well received for its fresh, realistic, and passionate writing, becoming a major hit with 300,000 copies sold.

In the film, Kimata plays Shinji Kudo, a camera-loving boy whom Yu meets while visiting Kurumi Taiga from the "West." Kudo plays a crucial role as Yu and her friends grow. Reflecting on his first film role, Kimata recalled, "I was really surprised when I got the offer. It was a work my friends knew, and I had never done a movie job before. I was very nervous." He expressed his emotions after seeing the finished film, "It was truly tear-jerking." He also felt a personal connection, saying, "There were parts that overlapped with my life." He expressed gratitude, "I am full of gratitude for being matched with Shinji."

Kazumi Takayama, Asaki Yukiwaka, and Director Masahiro Shinohara also attended the event, with Aoi Harada from Fuji TV as the MC.
