A new "Promotion Reel" for Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning-, featuring previously unseen cuts, has been released on the official Gundam YouTube channel. This comes shortly after the theatrical premiere of the restructured episodes from the latest Gundam series, which debuted on January 17 to critical and commercial acclaim.

A Collaborative Masterpiece

Gundam GQuuuuuuX is a groundbreaking collaboration between Studio Khara, renowned for the Evangelion series, and Sunrise, the creators of the iconic Gundam franchise. Directed by Kazuya Tsurumaki (Rebuild of Evangelion), the series also boasts contributions from Yoji Enokido (series composition) and Ikuto Yamashita (mechanical design).

The story follows Amate Yuzuriha (voiced by Tomoyo Kurosawa), a high school girl drawn into the world of illegal Mobile Suit battles known as "Clan Battles." Alongside Nyaan (Yui Ishikawa) and the mysterious Shuji Ito (Shimba Tsuchiya), Amate pilots the titular GQuuuuuuX in battles that reshape the future of space colonies.

Adding to the excitement, Kenshi Yonezu performs the theme song "Plazma," delivering a powerful musical centerpiece to the series.

Box Office Triumph

Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning- has already made waves at the box office, earning ¥599 million with 352,500 attendees in its first three days. It claimed the top spot in Japan's weekend rankings (January 17–19), underscoring its massive popularity.

Story

Set in a peaceful space colony, the story follows Amate Yuzuriha, a high schooler whose life changes after meeting Nyaan, a war refugee. Drawn into illegal Mobile Suit battles, Amate adopts the alias “Machu” and pilots the GQuuuuuuX. Her journey intertwines with a fugitive Gundam and its pilot, Shuji, setting the stage for a new era in space history.
