The story details and scene cuts for "Shangri-La Frontier" Episode 40 (S2, EP15) titled "Carrying the Torch of Ambition, Part 5" airing nationwide on 28 MBS and TBS stations on January 19, have been released.

The story follows Rakuro Hizutome, a gamer with a peculiar love for notoriously bad games, as he takes on the masterpiece game Shangri-La Frontier, which boasts 30 million players. The original manga, currently serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine, has achieved massive popularity, winning four consecutive reader polls and surpassing 10 million copies in circulation.

After battling "Lycaon of the Night Raid," Sunraku and his companions accept a new unique scenario EX titled "The Flame of Courage That Dispels the Darkness." While defeating Lycaon's shadow, Sunraku celebrates as the marking (curse) on him vanishes... However, the story doesn’t end there. With their bonds strengthened, the three friends and two birds set off toward their original destination, Fiftysia.
