Kohei Shoji Transforms into Kamen Rider Vlam in Gavv: "I Never Expected This Opportunity…" Inspired by Pudding | Formerly Wonderous Kiramei Silver in Kirameig

The sixth installment of the Reiwa-era Kamen Rider series, Kamen Rider Gavv (airs Sundays at 9:00 AM, TV Asahi), has unveiled the third Kamen Rider in the series.

Following Kamen Rider Gavv and Kamen Rider Valen, the third Kamen Rider, named Kamen Rider Vlam, has been introduced. Staying true to the series' candy-themed motifs—featuring treats like gummies and chocolates—Vlam takes inspiration from pudding. With a striking yellow body and a melting caramel sauce design, it's hard to imagine what kind of battles this character will bring.

Transforming into Kamen Rider Vlam is Kohei Shoji, who previously portrayed Kiramei Silver/Crystalia Takamichi in Mashin Sentai Kirameiger. Shoji is already appearing in Kamen Rider Gavv as Granute Large-9. In stark contrast to the cheerful Crystalia Takamichi, Shoji plays the more somber Granute in the series.

Granute, who operates in the human world through shady part-time jobs, undergoes a transformation into Kamen Rider Vlam. With a new transformation item in hand, what are Large-9's intentions as he confronts Gavv and Valen? Episode 17, airing early in the new year, is a must-see.

Additionally, Kamen Rider Gavv has revealed new visuals teasing upcoming developments, including the arrival of Kamen Rider Vlam. The new artwork features Gavv in his Caking Form, the newly introduced Kamen Rider Vlam, and a mysterious, dark, and sinister Kamen Rider standing beside them. While this shadowy figure resembles Gavv, their true identity remains a mystery. Kamen Rider Valen, seen standing next to Gavv, also appears to have undergone a change. With the tagline, "The world needs a touch of bitterness," the visuals hint at a thrilling and intense storyline beyond the sweetness.

"I am Kohei Shoji, portraying Kamen Rider Vlam and Granute Large-9. I never imagined I'd have such an opportunity… I made my debut in 2020 with the Super Sentai series Mashin Sentai Kirameiger, and now, four years later, I've re-entered the tokusatsu world as a Kamen Rider.

For those who watched me back then, I hope to show how much I've grown. For viewers encountering me for the first time, I aim to bring a sweet yet bitter character to life, just like Vlam’s pudding motif.

To all the young heroes watching Kamen Rider Gavv every week, hello! The dark-caped man, Large-9, is jumping into Gavv's world. He might seem a little scary, but I hope you'll think he's cool too! Please look forward to it!

As the third Kamen Rider, how will I impact the story? What are my objectives? Kamen Rider Gavv is about to get even more exciting—stay tuned!"
