About Fuuto PI and Its Kamen Rider Legacy
The Kamen Rider W franchise, originally aired as the 11th Heisei Kamen Rider series from September 2009 to August 2010, received a sequel in the form of the manga Fuuto PI. Launched in Weekly Big Comic Spirits in August 2017, the series has sold over 2.4 million copies. In August 2022, Fuuto PI became the first Kamen Rider series adapted into anime, gaining fans across generations. This film focuses on the iconic “Begins Night” episode, revealing the origins of Shotaro Hidari (voiced by Yoshimasa Hosoya) and his partner Philip (voiced by Kouki Uchiyama) as they become Kamen Rider W.
