The Origin Story of Mufasa and Scar

This live-action prequel explores the origins of Mufasa, the iconic king who defended his son Simba with his life, and Taka, who would ultimately betray Mufasa and become the infamous villain Scar. The film delves into their shared past, back when they were bonded by a close relationship that transcended blood ties.

Taka, once a prince with a pure heart much like Simba, welcomed the orphaned Mufasa into his pride. Growing up together, the two became as close as real brothers and set out on a journey to protect their pride from the ruthless enemy lion Kiros. However, an event along the way changes their destinies forever.

As Mufasa takes his place as the future king of Pride Lands, Taka begins his transformation into Scar, the iconic villain known worldwide. This film reveals the untold story behind their bond, betrayal, and Taka’s fall from grace.

In the Japanese live-action dub, Ukon Onoe voices Mufasa, Genta Matsuda (Travis Japan) voices Taka, and Ken Watanabe plays the menacing enemy lion, Kiros.
