The Tokyo Anime Award Festival (TAAF) Committee, in collaboration with the Association of Japanese Animations, has announced that the Tokyo Anime Award Festival 2025 (TAAF2025) will be held in Ikebukuro from March 7 to March 10, 2025.

Starting November 1 at 6:00 PM, voting is open on the TAAF2025 official website for the “Best 100 Chosen by Fans.” Fans can select their favorite anime from all titles screened, broadcast, or streamed in Japan between October 1, 2023, and September 30, 2024.

Voting and Awards

From the top 100 fan-chosen titles, industry professionals including producers, creators, and merchandise store representatives will vote to determine the winners of the “Best Work” and “Individual” awards. In addition, fans will select the recipient of the “Anime Fan Award.”

Voting Period: November 1, 2024, 6:00 PM – December 2, 2024, 11:59 PM
Eligible Works: All anime released in Japan from October 1, 2023, to September 30, 2024
Voting Rules: Each voter may select up to three TV series and three films, one time only
The 2024 Anime of the Year awards honored THE FIRST SLAM DUNK for Best Film, Oshi no Ko for Best TV Series, and the IDOLiSH7 LIVE 4bit BEYOND THE PERIOD movie with the Anime Fan Award.
