The synopsis and preview images for the first episode of the TV anime Blue Box (airing on TBS from October 3) have been revealed.

Episode 1, titled "Chinatsu Senpai," follows Taiki Inomata, a third-year junior high student and a member of the badminton club. He has a crush on Chinatsu Kano, a senior one year above him who plays for the girls' basketball team and whom he meets every morning at practice. His classmate, Hina Chono, who is in the rhythmic gymnastics club, supports Taiki's unrequited love. Taiki is overjoyed after talking to Chinatsu for the first time, but she seems to have her own circumstances... Blue Box is a coming-of-age sports romance story serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump since April 2021. It starts with Taiki, a member of the boys' badminton team, falling in love with Chinatsu, a senior from the girls' basketball team, whom he meets during morning practice. One spring, as they move up a grade, a pivotal event changes the distance between them. The story delicately portrays the emotions of characters who give their all in their respective sports while navigating the nuances of first love.
