On the 23rd, Pokémon Company, the Japan Tennis Association, and the Japan Tennis Business Association announced that Sprigatito from Pokémon has been appointed as the "Tennis Kids Ambassador." Sprigatito will serve as an inspiration for children to begin playing tennis, supporting their "growth and evolution" through the sport.

Going forward, Sprigatito will accompany children on their journey from their first tennis lesson, through weekly tennis school activities, and even into junior tournaments aimed at nurturing the next generation of players. The program will also feature a kids' tennis curriculum inspired by Sprigatito. Additionally, tennis balls designed for children, such as green and sponge balls featuring Sprigatito’s design, will gradually be introduced starting this winter.
