The Pokémon Company announced that the latest installment of the Pokémon anime series, "POKETOON," will be released consecutively for eight weeks starting today, the 18th, on the official Pokémon YouTube channel. The confirmed lineup consists of eight episodes, including four traditional horizontal-format animations and four vertical-format animations. New episodes will be released every Wednesday.

The "POKETOON" series is a collection of short anime episodes, each focusing on a specific Pokémon to highlight its charm through original stories and diverse art styles unique to the series. Since its debut with the episode "Scraggy and Mimikyu" in 2020, the series' eight episodes have amassed over 82 million views worldwide on YouTube.

As a new initiative in this "POKETOON" series, there will be music collaborations for the ending themes of the four horizontal-format episodes. Artists involved in this collaboration include Fukurownote, Taiyu Fujiwara, LustQueen, and the group RUI・TAIKI・KANON.
