The latest episode of the Super Sentai series Bakauge Sentai BoomBoomger (broadcast every Sunday at 9:30 AM on TV Asahi), titled Bakauge 27: "Not An Easy Choice," aired on September 1.

In the ISA headquarters, Tokoyari (Keisuke Horibe) and Naito (Katsuhiko Nagato) are having a secret conversation. “I can’t believe they handed that over to Hashiryan,” one says. The other replies, “At least the new reconstruction leader seems more capable than the last modified commander.” The two are clearly up to something. The Hashiryan reconstruction leader they refer to is none other than Disrace, who suddenly appeared before the BoomBoomgers.

Genba (played by Satoru Soma) showed an unprecedented level of rage towards Disrace. In his fury, Genba unleashed an incredible aura and transformed into a monstrous form. It turns out that Genba isn’t human but a Breki from the planet Breki. Unfortunately, he not only failed to attack Disrace but also ended up injuring his precious teammates.

After calming down, Genba revealed his secret to his comrades. His real name is "Genbard de Livery II." His home planet, Breki, is the planet of the Galactic Shopping King, De Livery, and Genba is the second in line. According to Genba, the planet Breki was taken over by Hashiryan under Disrace's command. As a result, Genba's father was unjustly imprisoned in a space prison, and the planet Breki was transformed into a Hashiryan shopping hub. Genba, the sole survivor, eventually made his way to Earth, where he met Taiya (played by Haruhi Iuchi), leading up to the present day. Upon hearing Genba’s story, his comrades resolved to reclaim the planet Breki, but Genba’s expression remained conflicted.

At that moment, the Wicked Beast Carpet Grumer began rampaging through the city. Without Disrace in sight, Genba fought alongside his comrades as usual. After the battle, Genba, with a pleased expression, said, "It seems I care about you all more than I thought." His teammates were happy to hear this. However, Genba immediately followed with, "That's exactly why... I'm stepping down from the front seat," announcing his departure from BoomBoomger. His reason was that he didn’t want to drag everyone into his quest for revenge. Taiya accepted Genba’s decision and resolve to "steer his own wheel," but the other teammates tried to stop him. Nonetheless, Genba left with a final farewell: "Goodbye, BoomBoomger."

Meanwhile, Disrace was plotting something sinister using the carpet employed by Carpet Grumer. Moreover, Madrex’s beloved dog, who was defeated by BoomBoomger, was seen whimpering in the shadows... Is there more trouble ahead for BoomBoomger?

The episode also tied up loose ends about why Genba keeps licking candy and why he works as a supplier. On social media, fans were surprised: “It went beyond foreshadowing and became a trick,” and “It resonated with Safari...” Additionally, manga artist Kazuhiko Shimamoto, who designed Hashiryan, appeared as himself. Fans were amused, commenting, “Shimamoto-sensei, are you okay with this?”
