New details have been revealed for the fourth movie in the My Hero Academia series, My Hero Academia THE MOVIE: Your Next, which was released on August 2. The third round of entrance gifts for moviegoers will be a deluxe making-of special book, delving into the behind-the-scenes production, and it will be distributed starting on August 31.

The cover features a striking illustration of Deku, Bakugo, and Todoroki with determined expressions, symbolizing their united front. The special book will include a roundtable discussion with the voice actors Daiki Yamashita, Nobuhiko Okamoto, Yuki Kaji, and Kenta Miyake, as well as an exclusive interview with director Tensai Okamura, scriptwriter Yousuke Kuroda, and Weekly Shonen Jump editor Kengo Monji. Additionally, the book will feature teaser visuals, key visual sketches, and previously unreleased stills from the movie. Only 300,000 copies will be distributed nationwide.

Furthermore, for the first time in My Hero Academia movie history, an English-subtitled version will be screened. Starting on September 6, it will be shown in 10 theaters across Japan.

The original My Hero Academia manga, which has sold over 100 million copies, is set in a world where people with superhuman abilities known as "Quirks" are commonplace. The story follows the protagonist Izuku Midoriya (Deku) as he strives to become a "Hero" at U.A. High School, a prestigious academy that trains heroes to protect society from "Villains" who misuse their Quirks.

Serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump since July 2014, the manga will conclude on August 5, 2024. The first season of the TV anime premiered in April 2016, and several movies have been released in theaters. The seventh season of the TV anime is currently airing.

The upcoming movie features an original story supervised by the manga's creator, Kohei Horikoshi, who also designed the characters. It is set in the same timeline as the seventh season of the anime. The plot takes place in a society devastated by the ongoing battles between Heroes and Villains. After many Villains escape from detention facilities, chaos ensues. Just before the final showdown between Deku and the Villains, a massive event shakes the world.
