The gag manga Mattaku Saikin no Tantei to Kitara will be adapted into a TV anime, set to air in 2025. Alongside the announcement, the key visual, promotional video (PV), and cast information were revealed. Junichi Suwabe will voice the protagonist, Keichiro Nagumo, and Kana Hanazawa will play the heroine, Mashiro.

Story Summary:

There once was a brilliant detective who had built a stellar reputation, solving every case with ease. There wasn't a mystery he couldn't crack! He was a high school detective named Keichiro Nagumo... but that was over a decade ago.

Now, he suffers from back pain, presbyopia, and sensitive teeth. Smartphones? JKs (high school girls)? The once-shining high school detective has become a man left behind by time. "It's not that my talent has dried up—I've just lost a bit of my youth."

One day, a vibrant high school girl named Mashiro barges into Nagumo's detective agency, eager to become his assistant. It seems she wants to become a detective...!? Thus begins the thrilling, heart-pounding daily life of an aging detective and his quirky self-proclaimed JK assistant!

Junichi Suwabe as Keichiro Nagumo:
