Introduction

Magic Knight Rayearth is based on the fantasy manga created by CLAMP and serialized in Nakayoshi from 1993 to 1995, with a television anime adaptation originally broadcast from 1994 to 1995. The story follows three eighth-grade students, Hikaru Shidou, Umi Ryuuzaki, and Fuu Hououji, who are suddenly summoned from Tokyo Tower during a school field trip to the alternate world of Cephiro by Princess Emeraude. In order to rescue the captive princess, they embark on a journey as the legendary Magic Knights. The work continues to enjoy enduring popularity for its immersive world and compelling story that questions the nature of justice, love, and good and evil.
