The Boxer Story

K is a legendary boxing trainer who has produced numerous world champions and is searching for his “final student.”

He encounters Yu, a boy being repeatedly beaten in an alley without showing anger or fighting spirit. K sees in him a seemingly bottomless talent that goes beyond genius.

Guided by K into the boxing ring, Yu begins moving toward the top of the world with overwhelming strength that can only be described as monstrous.

Along the way, he faces champions who take pride in their refined skills and men who have overcome the limits of talent through hard work. Their dreams, reasons for continuing to fight, and lives are shaken by their encounters with Yu.

The story asks what strength means beyond talent and effort, glory and defeat, as Yu and the people who face him cross paths.
