3rd place: I Bought a Mountain Vol. 8: Life in Another World Isn't So Bad

A country life begun with fluffy companions. The popular series, reprinted again and again, reaches its eighth volume, including two exclusive newly written stories.

1st place: Easygoing Territory Defense by the Optimistic Lord Vol. 10

Van and his companions return home in triumph, and Volume 10 brings his reunion with his father, Jalpa.

After surviving life on a deserted island, Van and his group make it safely back to town. When Rosso suggests rewarding those who distinguished themselves, Van decides to use the opportunity to express his usual gratitude. Dee and the others who played key roles at sea are honored, along with Arte, Til, and Kamshin.

No sooner has the ceremony ended than Prince Pista, King Dino, and Chancellor Aperta arrive before Van. They scold him over the incident at sea, but their real concern is the development of firearms to counter the Solstice Empire's black orbs.

As Van devotes himself to gunpowder and shipbuilding, his brother Murcia brings news about their father, Jalpa. Injured and unable to leave his castle, Jalpa's condition is beginning to affect the governance of the Feltio Marquisate. Worried, Van returns home with Murcia. When he sees his father again after so long, Van is shocked, but as he uses his production magic to help Jalpa, the relationship between father and son begins to change.
