My Hero Academia FINAL SEASON Episode 2 Story & Preview Released: All Might’s Last Stand and an Unexpected Ally

The story and preview images for Episode 2 (overall Episode 161) of the TV anime My Hero Academia FINAL SEASON have been revealed. The episode, titled “The End of An Era, And,” will air on Friday, October 11, at 5:30 PM (JST) on Yomiuri TV and Nippon TV. Ahead of the broadcast, new scene cuts and an exclusive 30-second unaired TV preview were released on October 9.

In Episode 2, the fierce battle between All Might—equipped with gear incorporating Class 1-A students’ Quirks and support tools as “Armored All Might”—and All For One (AFO) continues. Though he tries to strike back with unbreakable resolve, All Might finds himself gradually being pushed to the brink by AFO’s relentless assault. Just as all hope seems lost, an unexpected ally arrives: the infamous “Hero Killer” Stain. Can All Might and Stain, combining the latter’s Quirk “Bloodcurdle” with All Might’s hidden strategy, overcome the ultimate villain AFO?

Meanwhile, Yuga Aoyama, Fat Gum, and others confront Kunieda, one of the villains who escaped from Tartarus. His brutal Quirk puts the heroes in a desperate situation, adding further tension to the episode.

Based on Kohei Horikoshi’s manga serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2014 to 2024, My Hero Academia tells the story of Izuku Midoriya (Deku) and his journey to become a hero in a world where superpowers, known as Quirks, are common. The anime adaptation began in 2016 and has spanned seven seasons before entering this final chapter.
