In a post titled “Regarding the Actor for GozyuWolf”, Toei stated:
“We sincerely thank you for your continued support. We apologize for this sudden announcement to all of our viewers who regularly support the show. Mr. Kosuke Asai, who currently plays the role of GozyuWolf in Number One Sentai Gozyuger, is unfortunately no longer able to continue in the role for the long term in optimal condition due to the worsening of a pre-existing medical condition.”

The announcement continued:
“After multiple discussions with Mr. Asai and his agency, and in accordance with his wishes, it is with great regret that we inform you that the role of GozyuWolf will be handed over to a new actor starting from Episode 29, which airs on September 7.”

We would like to take this opportunity to express our deepest gratitude.” They concluded the statement by introducing the new actor:“From Episode 29 onward, Mr. Shigeki Ito will take on the role of GozyuWolf.

Once again, we deeply apologize for the sudden announcement and for any concerns it may cause. We will continue striving to deliver the best possible program to our audience and humbly ask for your continued support.”
