Medalist Season Finale: Episode 13 Preview and Synopsis Released — Will There Be a Season 2?
The official synopsis and preview cuts for Episode 13, the final episode of the Medalist TV anime, have been released, along with a web teaser video. Titled “The Morning Comes,” the episode takes place at the venue of the Level 6 badge test—an emotionally significant location where Inori first met Hikaru and took her initial test.
Just as the test begins, Hikaru suddenly reappears before Inori and promises a future reunion at the All-Japan Championships. From there, the three core evaluations that determine the Level 6 badge qualification get underway.
A Story of Passion, Growth, and Dreams on Ice
Medalist follows the journey of Inori Yuitsuka, a young girl with a deep longing for the world of figure skating, and Tsukasa Amahara, a former skater who once gave up on his dream. Inspired by Inori’s fierce determination, Tsukasa becomes her coach, guiding her as she blossoms into a skating talent while he finds new purpose as a mentor.
Based on the award-winning manga by Tsurumaikada, the series has been recognized with the Next Manga Award 2022 (1st place in the comics category) and the prestigious 48th Kodansha Manga Award in the general category. The anime adaptation premiered in January and has garnered acclaim for its emotional storytelling and graceful depiction of skating.
As the season finale airs, fans are eagerly wondering: Will there be a Season 2? While no official announcement has been made yet, the emotional build-up and open-ended developments suggest that Inori’s skating journey may be far from over.
