Currently airing TV anime "SPY×FAMILY" Season 2 has embarked on the "Luxury Liner Arc" starting from episode 30. The story, centered around Yor, unfolds showing her conflicts and emotions as a member of the Forger family and as an assassin. ORICON NEWS conducted an interview with Saori Hayami, who voices Yor, to hear her candid thoughts and spoilers that can only be shared after the broadcast of each episode. The work features the formidable spy known as "Twilight," aka Loid Forger, who works on espionage missions daily for a better world. He receives a special mission: "Create a family and infiltrate a certain prestigious school's parent-teacher association." Disguised as a psychiatrist, Twilight forms a family, but the daughter he meets, Anya, can read minds, and his wife, Yor, turns out to be an assassin.

In the "Luxury Liner Arc," Yor acts separately from the other members of the Forger family and guards a mafia target aboard a luxury liner, drawing an episode of her protecting the mafia from being targeted.

--- The "Luxury Liner Arc," where Yor takes the main stage, has started. It's a popular episode in the original work, but what were your impressions when you read the original?

[Hayami] Until now, the family had always acted together, which deepened their bonds. However, in the "Luxury Liner Arc," Yor acts alone. Bond stays behind, and while Loid and Anya are on the same ship, they are in different places... The story progresses with each in a different field, which gave me a completely different sensation than before.

--- The story has less interaction among family members.

[Hayami] In fact, I often had to record separately from the family team. I had many opportunities to record with the main characters of the "Luxury Liner Arc," and like in the story, being on the same ship but not meeting felt a bit surreal.

--- In episode 30, there was a funny scene where Anya struggles with her angel and devil sides. Looking back at episode 30, what scene made a deep impression on you?

[Hayami] I liked the scene where Anya wins luxury liner tickets in a lottery. Because she can read minds, she exposes the wrongdoings of others... It was a scene that's very Anya (laughs). As for Yor, she had to hide that it was a mission, so she tried to cover it up by saying it was "work at the city hall"... Her poor way of lying was adorable (laughs).

--- Have you ever hit the jackpot in a lottery yourself?

[Hayami] Not at all! (laughs) I'm envious of Anya.
