The Sanrio Character Ranking 2025 is set to take place from April 10 to May 25, marking the 40th anniversary of this beloved fan-voted event. Alongside the main ranking, the Sanrio Character Ranking Partner Division will also be held, featuring 37 pairs of Sanrio characters collaborating with companies and local governments.

The final results will be revealed on June 29 at SANRIO FES 2025 Day 2, held at Pacifico Yokohama.

About the Sanrio Character Ranking

The Sanrio Character Ranking is a global popularity contest where 90 selected Sanrio characters compete for the top spot through fan votes. This event, which started in 1986 in Ichigo Shimbun, has evolved from postcard and in-store voting to online voting, making it accessible to fans worldwide.

In 2024, the contest received a record-breaking 57 million votes, demonstrating the passionate support of Sanrio fans. As Sanrio Character Ranking celebrates its 40th anniversary, it aims to jump forward into the future, spreading happiness and smiles across the world.

2025 Theme: "Jump to the Future with You!"

To commemorate this milestone, this year’s theme is "Jump to the Future with You!", symbolizing Sanrio’s commitment to growing together with fans and continuing to bring joy and excitement worldwide.

The key visual features Sanrio characters leaping forward energetically, representing positivity and enthusiasm. Additionally, the Sanrio Character Ranking logo has been redesigned to reflect the thrill and anticipation of the event.
