Dr.STONE Final Season Episode 9 Story and Stills Released: Senku critically injured! Can Luna save him?
The story and stills of Episode 9 from the final season of Dr.STONE (SCIENCE FUTURE) have been unveiled. Episode 9 is set to premiere on March 6 (Thursday) at 10:00 PM JST on Japan’s TOKYO MX, followed by global distribution on various platforms.

Episode 9 Story "The Flame of Science"
Xeno realizes that the leader of the Kingdom of Science is Senku, his former student. Despite this revelation, Xeno instructs Stanley to assassinate Senku. Amidst the ensuing chaos on the Perseus, Senku is shot by Stanley! Thanks to a swift defensive move, Senku narrowly survives but sustains critical injuries. Taiju urgently begs Luna, a former medical student, to treat Senku. Meanwhile, Chrome and the others, while investigating Xeno's fortress, begin executing their plan to capture Xeno.

What is Dr.STONE?
Several thousand years after a mysterious phenomenon petrified all of humanity in an instant... A science prodigy, Senku Ishigami, awakens in a stone world devoid of civilization. Using his genius intellect, he embarks on an epic adventure to rebuild the world through the power of science.
The TV anime Dr.STONE is based on the manga serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha) from 2017 to 2022, created by Riichiro Inagaki (story) and Boichi (art). The manga received accolades like 2nd place in the Next Manga Award 2018 (Comics Division) and the Shogakukan Manga Award (Shonen Division), surpassing 18 million copies in circulation.
The anime debuted in July 2019, followed by its second season in 2021, a special in 2022, and the third season, Dr.STONE NEW WORLD, in 2023. The upcoming fourth season, titled Dr.STONE SCIENCE FUTURE, will air across three split cours starting in 2025. Its announcement in August 2024 created a massive buzz on social media.
