Godzilla Featured in Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building Projection Mapping: Recalling Destruction with King Ghidorah, Faces Off Against Super X2 Kai

Tokyo is revitalizing its nighttime tourism by turning one of its most iconic landmarks, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, into a canvas for a variety of art through light and sound with year-round projection mapping. Starting from the 27th, it will feature content showcasing "Godzilla," globally popular and celebrating its 70th anniversary this year.

The Godzilla in this production is the 100-meter tall version known from the "VS Series." Projected onto the walls of the Metropolitan Government Building at full scale, Godzilla delivers a spectacular showdown against 'Super X2 Kai.'

Godzilla and Shinjuku share a deep connection. In "Godzilla" (1984), Godzilla was confronted by the superweapon 'Super X' in West Shinjuku, where a fierce battle ensued. Moreover, in "Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah" (1991), the Metropolitan Government Building No.1 featured in the film.
