The Soul Reapers attempt to regroup and launch a counterattack, but their efforts are mocked as the cityscape of the “Invisible Empire” that once covered the Seireitei peels away and rises into the sky. Meanwhile, Ichigo reunites with Neliel and Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez, a former enemy with whom he once fought fiercely. They are soon joined by Fullbringers Riruka Dokugamine and Yukio Hans Vorarlberna. Together, Ichigo and his allies set their sights on the Royal Palace once more, ready to confront Yhwach in a surprise attack.
