The world’s best-selling game, Minecraft, is set to make its film debut with "A Minecraft Movie" coming to Japan in 2025 (distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures).

Minecraft, created in Sweden in 2009, offers a 3D block-based virtual world where players can collect materials, build, and explore as they please. After its official release in 2011, it quickly took the world by storm. It has been released on multiple platforms and was recognized by Guinness World Records as the "best-selling indie game in the world" in 2014. By 2023, the game surpassed 300 million copies sold worldwide.

The film’s world is filled with block-like forests, lakes, mountains, and pink sheep, bringing the iconic elements of Minecraft to life.
